What is the Use of Sending Domain in Branded Email?

A sending domain in branded email ensures that emails are sent from your business’s custom domain (e.g., [email protected]) instead of generic providers. This improves brand authenticity, boosts deliverability by reducing the chance of being marked as spam, and builds trust with recipients.

Setting Up Your Email Sending Domain

  1. In the Afflr dashboard, navigate to Settings -> Email.

  2. Enter your business domain under the Sending Email Domain tab.

  3. Click Submit.

The DNS Record Name and Value will be generated.

Generating DNS records

Here, we are demonstrating generating DNS using Cloudflare. However, you can use any hosting provider such as:

Steps to Add DNS Records:

  1. Go to your domain's DNS records page.

  2. Add a new record.

  3. Select TXT as the record type.

  4. Enter the DNS Record Name and DNS Record Value generated in the Afflr dashboard.

  5. Save the details.

  1. Go back to the Afflr app.

  2. Check the 'I have added these records' checkbox.

  3. Click Verify.
